Understanding Energy Consumption

When observing relationships between multiple variables it is important to notice any patterns or correlations that take place. When we take a look at the relationship between GDP per capita and electricity consumption, we see a linear pattern. This is partially because the relationship is graphed in a logarithmic fashion, which tends to create a linear curve. But we also do not see many outliers, implying that there is a very clear relationship between GDP and electricity consumption. This relationship is that countries with higher gross domestic product tend to consume more electricity.
